Gannon Municipal Golf Course

Manning Field
Completely renovated in 2008, Manning Field boasts a state-of the-art sports facility where many local and state championship games in all field competitions are played.
1936 – President Roosevelt kicks off Manning Bowl History.
FDR’s Work Progress Administration puts Lynn men and women to work constructing the city of Lynn’s first new football stadium. The facility will be on a large field on Locust street in East Lynn. In September of that 1936, the first shovel hits the ground. The football stadium will not be ‘completed’ until June, 1938. More than 1000 workers are involved. Manning Bowl will be named for Mayor J. Fred Manning. The gray cement structure will cost half a million dollars.

Reedy Meadow Municipal Golf Course
9-Hole, regulation length, municipal golf course. Located at 195 Summer Street in Lynnfield. Don Lyons, PGA Professional/Manager. Mike Johnson and Karl Anderson, Superintendants. Kelley Greens at Nahant
9-Hole par 30 course consisting of six challenging par 3 holes and three par 4 holes leading back to the sea wall and the clubhouse. Kelley Greens is one of the oldest golf courses on the North Shore of Boston, MA. Open to the public and all year long. Phillips Park/Blocksidge Field
Located at 585 Humphrey Street. The town’s main park offers 1 baseball diamond, 2 softball diamonds, 2 football fields, 1 lighted basketball court, 1 tot playground, 2 tennis courts and soccer game field and one outside run/walk track. All high school home football games played at Blocksidge Field.
