Our Opinions - The Lynn Journal

Another year has passed, and new directors have been elected by the Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce.
The past year was one of enterprise, accomplishment and hard work for the Chamber, which is headed by Rich Gorham, the General Electric executive, who as president, did an outstanding job.
Another outstanding job was done by Kevin Donahue, the able and well-liked Chamber executive director.
It was a year when the Chamber made itself heard on important issues across the board: government affairs, zoning, inspectional services, tax title property liquidation, rapid transit initiatives, public safety, education and workforce development, etc.
The Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce stepped up to the plate in a big way for this city, time and time again, and whenever it was called for during the past 12 months.
With a continuing series of breakfasts and co-sponsorships of workshops, seminars and expositions, the Chamber has maintained its relevancy in a rapidly changing local scene and business environment.
We again congratulate Rich Gorham and Kevin Donahue and all the members of the board of directors of the Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce for a job well done.
If this year is as good as last year, then it will be another good year, indeed.
