Lynn's Donahue to be the toast of roast

There will be only one item on the grill at the Nahant Country Club on Wednesday, September 26th: Kevin Donahue.

At the end of the month, the Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce executive director for the past 16 years is leaving his post for new opportunities in the private sector.

The Chamber is inviting friends, acquaintances, city and state officials, and community leads to come and roast Donahue before he departs.

As his co-workers at the chamber noted in the invitation, "Kevin worked hard for the Lynn Area Chamber of Commerce and the communities that we serve during his tenure. There have been many accomplishments along the way. This is our opportunity to thank him for his effort."

Donahue, a Lynn resident, accepted a position with Sandler Sales Institute, a sales training and development company.

The appreciation event is from 5-7:30 at the Nahant Country Club at 280 Nahant Road in Nahant. Tickets are $30 per person.
