LYNN YOUTH PARADE
JULY 19, 2007
3RD THURSDAYS in LYNN’S CENTRAL SQUARE
5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The Lynn Youth Parade Returns!  3rd Thursdays proudly reintroduces a Lynn tradition, the Lynn Youth Parade, on Thursday, July 19, 2007 from 5PM to 8PM.  A youth festival atmosphere is planned in the Square with activities for the young and the young at heart, including The Camera Obscura, a large, walk-through installation presented by Raw Art Works and the Cloud Foundation. The North Shore Spirit Pitching Tent and Slugger will be there.  Everyone can contribute to ‘This is Lynn’ a large communal drawing, which will later be displayed in the halls of LynnArts.  A ‘playground’ play list presented by DJ is planned and live music performed by The College Fund Band.  There’ll be face painting, balloon sculptures and more. The Lynn Museum presents an exhibition of photos from past Lynn Youth Parades and the annual juried exhibit ‘Paint’ can be seen at LynnArts. Raw Art Works, the Lynn Farmers’ Market and Flava’z ice cream also plan activities.  The Parade begins at 5PM on the Lynn Common with Mayor ‘Chip’ Clancy then proceeds from City Hall to Central Square.  Events are free and open to the public.
